超时空驱动器是由超过63000转在时空上造成一个微型虫洞的高能磁性环形场.然后重力波发生器发出一段重力脉冲到超时空隧道口.这使得超时空隧道在飞船面前撕开一个出口以及快速展开出口将人造重力场周围的物质吸入其中.很像黑洞吸入周围的光.
重力波也会保证船体在隧道口塌缩之前被吸入并速度达到光速的一半.飞船的速度必须快于光速的一半,否则,在飞船进入超时空隧道之前,隧道口就会塌缩.或者更糟,隧道口将会在飞船正在进入时塌缩,飞船就会…
一旦进入超时空驱动,大量重力场发生器将在飞船周围产生一个重力罩防止隧道塌缩.船体的进入速度决定了重力罩在超时空隧道中的强度.由于时空在超时空隧道中被压缩了,所以飞船的速度可以超过光速!

HT-Drive:
The Hyper-space Tunnel Drive features a high powered magnetic ring that spins at 63000+ rpms
creating a micro-wormhole in space-time. Then a gravimetric wave generator fires a Gravity
Pulse into the mouth of the Hyperspace Tunnel. This causes the mouth of the Hyperspace Tunnel
to exit the front of the ship and to rapidly expand as it warps around the artificial gravity field,
much like a black hole warps light around it.
The Gravity Pulse also causes the ship to be pulled into the Hyperspace Tunnel before the mouth
collapses provided that the ship is already traveling above 50% of C (C = the speed of light in a
vacuum). The ship must be traveling > 50% of C otherwise the mouth will close before the ship
enters, or worse the mouth will close onto the ship crushing the part within the Hyperspace
Tunnel.
Once inside, an array of gravity field generators maintain a gravity bubble around the ship to keep
the tunnel from collapsing on it. The entry speed of the ship determines the speed of the gravity
bubble within the Hyper-space Tunnel. However, due to time-space being condensed within the
tunnel, ships are able to travel at FTL (Faster Than Light) speeds.
