A while ago IA expressed an interest in having some low poly human models that could be instanced to wander around hangars when your ship is docked to give the place more life and provide a good scale reference.

Each model is around 1000 polygons. The textures in those renders are 10242048, and it doesn’t warrant that kind of resolution because they’re not supposed to be seen up close, so that will probably change. 每个模型大约1000个多边形。材质是10242048,但并不需要这样的分辨率因为它们不是用来近看的。

Trees have to look “volumetric” from above. If you make a double-quad billboard tree, you can’t see it at all from above.
In this case it is good to use 8-20 triangles to “up” facing surfaces.
